You can apply 60 days before the TIE expires, up to 90 days after the TIE expires.

Steps to request an extension of your study stay

Apply to students who continue initial or new studies related to the previous one in an equal or higher academic level.

• Full passport (valid).
• TIE – Card or visa
• Certificate of achievement or completion of studies. You can prove it by requesting the official academic certificate on the virtual campus Official certificates | IQS (url.edu).
• Health insurance (in Spain).
• Prove financial means, presenting documentation from one of these three options:
  • Bank certificate from Spain, with an account with a minimum amount of €7.250.
  • Certificate of bank balance of €3.600 + an income of €600/month.
  • Family support: legalized and with an apostille.
